POWER HOUR has become a key phrase for our tribe over the last month. What can you do in and hour? What can you accomplish if you really stay on task? How can you work through those lags where you are unproductive? The answer, POWER HOUR. This jam packed hour of production has been incredibly motivating for us and they are working for so many other women who follow us on Instagram. I decided to give you an in-depth look at the POWER HOUR and offer you two great ways to fill your personal POWER HOUR.
We’ve talked about how to stay motivated and one tip was to set a timer and then do everything you can until the time is finished. Now, let’s take this another step further and make it a race against the clock. For all you inner competitors, this is your language and you can win this. Racing to see just how much you can get finished is incredibly fulfilling. Want to ramp it up even more? Call a friend and do your power hour together and then report back to each other when the timer rings. I did this with my sister the other day and was actually kind of surprised how well it worked. It was especially effective because I was tired when I started and it really work me up and got me going! Plus, I had to do more than my sister.
Another way to fill the power hour is to start moving! For the last month Denise and I have been making great strides before the sun even comes close to rising. Our daily morning walks have us tackling some pretty steep hills and really pounding the pavement. We are doing all of this by waking up early in the morning and in less than ideal weather conditions. We live in Canada and we are walking outside five days a week in the pitch black and freezing temperatures. If we can do it here, you can do it anywhere.
What I like most about POWER HOUR is that it helps me better focus and execute the rest of my day.
