My wardrobe is stacked with neutrals. I mean it’s stacked. For some reason, I find getting dressed a whole lot easier if I rotate my wardrobe around neutral pieces. Pink is a neutral and for spring, it’s such an easy way to add a subtle touch of colour. One of the reasons I like adding pink, is breaks up all the black, white and grey without overwhelming me with too much colour. Here are a few easy steps to bring pink into your closet!
Pink Scarf and Jacket
Because it’s spring, let’s start with outerwear. A pink jacket and scarf add the perfect touch! A lighter weight scarf and a versatile jacket that can handle the wind and a bit of rain, are both great ways to embrace pink!
Best foot forward – spring shoes!
Next, let the feet do the talking. Shoes are a great way to add pink and it has never been easier to find shoes that are comfortable and stylish. (both are a huge must in my mind!) So, when you’re ready to say good bye to winter boots, loafers make you feel like a million bucks. Lighten your step – shop these shoes!
Carry it – How about a pink purse for spring?
Both Denise and I are big fans of carrying a simple pink purse. It adds a softness and works as a neutral so the colour combinations are endless. I guarantee you have outfits in your wardrobe that are begging to be finished off with a perfect little pink purse.
a soft pink shirt
With so many different textures and patterns to play with, pink t-shirts, button ups, and sweaters are all another easy way to bring on the pink this spring. Here are some great options and they are all under $100!
Feeling daring? Wear bright pink this spring.
For those of you not afraid to try a little more colour, go brighter! Hot pink is a great accent colour and if you want to take baby steps, try just wearing an exercise top or a simple t-shirt in hot pink. It’s such a bold colour so it works best with other similar tones or neutrals.
To sum it all up – it’s time to THINK PINK! One more thing, remember that pink is a neutral! Have a great day everyone!
