It’s a fact. Sweaters are an all season wear around here and in the winter, they are a daily wear. Some days.. we even need to double up.
Wearing layers is a practical way to stay warm and there are really lots of ways to do it. One of my favourites is to wear a cardigan over another sweater. This layering trick gives you warmth without the bulk of a coat. (great for our above freezing/melting days)
This option is also great for our frigid days. (like the -30 we’re enjoying now!) Throw your favourite warm coat over them and you’re extra warm. Plus, when you take off your coat on extra cold days your body just screams for more warmth… even when you’re in the house. I like keeping this cardigan close on days like these as well.
This picture doesn’t show it but this day was actually very pleasant and beautiful. The sun was warm and the snow was sharp. Even better was the fact that my photographer daughter was home to snap a few pictures for me.
How ever you’re surviving winter, make it warmer by adding on more sweaters! Another bonus right now, they’re hiding all my Christmas eating. Just trying to stay warm over here!! Have a cozy week everyone!
