The title might make you scratch your head and say…..what?? But here is a little trivia. The beginning of the denim jacket is said to be pinpointed to the late 1800s, calling Levi Strauss — the Denim Dad himself — as the originator. Strauss designed up something called the “working blouse” that was basically a denim jacket in its infancy. Cool right?? Well…..
We have seen the fashion industry work its magic and havoc on this iconic piece. I personally have worn it in all shades. Dark, light, bleached, tie died and acid washed. It has been embroidered, bedazzled, ruffled, frayed even lost its sleeves ( which I suppose would mean its a vest) but I think you get my point. It seems to be here to stay in all its forms at one time or another. So let me introduce you to the long version. Its more like a heavy shirt/light jacket and very versatile. I love mine and it will likely be in my closet till the next denim craze appears.
These ankle boots are on repeat again , and honestly I would be lying if I were to say you wouldn’t be seeing them again…cause you will. Here’s the thing about this colour….it just goes with so much. Invest in a pair of boots in this colour and you will have just added a plethora of outfits to put together.
Now before I jump on my vintage bike and go pick some fresh veggies from the garden, (true story….but it was my friend) let’s talk about some destroyed black jeans. I’m trying to come up with something brilliant to say….but its just so darn plain and simple and staring me right in the face…go get yourself a pair. No matter your age…trust me you will feel liberated wearing these. Just make sure they are ‘STRETCHY”. In this day and age there are no excuses for non stretchy pants. They are everywhere with a wide range of price tags. So do yourself a favour and pick up a great pair of stretchy, destroyed, skinny black jeans. I’ve worn different brands and they all fit a bit differently so just start trying on what fits those curves your momma gave ya!
Here are a some ideas!
