Classic, simple and effortless are fashion themes we repeat a lot around here. That’s because we know these looks have staying power. They help you look put together in a very unfussy and simple way.
To keep things simple take a close look at details like fabric. Does it fit tight or loose, does it hug in the wrong or right places and how will it last are questions to ask. This tissue turtle neck is soft and thin. This works well as a layering piece. When it’s REALLY cold outside, I like pairing it with a wool sweater. That way I have the warmth of wool but this thin soft fabric on my skin.
These Current Elliott jeans have been on repeat now for a few years. I made sure I liked the fit before I committed to buying them. I don’t want a wardrobe overflowing with massive amounts of clothes. I want a wardrobe that’s simple and filled with pieces I actually wear. (I constantly purge to make sure I’ve fine tuned this!)
This boiled wool coat has been another great staple this season. First, I LOVE navy and second, it’s not too bulky. It’s great for running errands and giving my otherwise pretty simple look a more classic vibe. It’s also a great in the car… no seatbelt extender required. This coat will also be a great Spring/Fall staple. I’ll pair it with white jeans in the Spring and some wool pants when the temps drop. (obviously this photo was taken on one of our warmer winter days!)
For the finishing touches, I went with a gold statement earring and this Michael Kors oversized wallet. I found I was starting to loose too many receipts and cards so DT talked me into getting something more substantial. I’ve also been carrying it as a clutch because it’s so easy to tuck under my arm. Here are my outfit details! Have a good weekend!
